Kavitha hails from Munnar and belongs to St. Theresa’s parish in Yellappaty, a secluded village on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. While her husband Alex works at the tea factory, she stays at home. When she was five years old, Kavitha lost her parents. She was raised in an orphanage. She married Alex 20 years ago after completing her education. Nineteen-year-old Roshan, their sole child, is doing his graduation in Tamil Nadu. Kavitha suffered severe burns as a result of an event that happened about seven years ago. All other skin portions are now scorched, except for the face and hands. She is currently taking medicine for this continuously. She paid a hefty price for the procedure. Kavitha’s spouse works as a low-paid laborer in a plantation factory. They have spent years residing in the estate quarters. This family recently purchased five-cent land with their meager money. They want to build a house, but they are unable to proceed because of money issues. They await our assistance in finding a respectable place to live.
